Shed Your Skin
In the sickest and cruellest of acts,
I take the form of the very monster who played me as a joke.
I’ve taken my pain and forged it into venom,
My forked tongue repeating the very same words you spoke.
Now I shed my skin before you,
Unveiling beautiful danger I tried so hard to hide under my bright hue.
You bite back your fears,
Laying your gentle palms out to me, you bring me closer to you.
At a glimpse, you see mercy,
With my dark eyes, you mistake me for nothing more than a meek little mouse.
Only a fool would try to domesticate me,
Believing that your tender touch will soothe my instincts, a delicate pet in your house.
—
But I will bite.
I will sink my fangs deep into your flesh, and I will draw red from your skin.
I will wrap myself around your weakness, and I will suffocate you.
Because no matter how hard you try,
I will always be an animal.

I can feel the frustration
May the one hurt you, feel the agony
